Anakiwa Flapjacks – Makes 32!

Endurance athlete or active every day, this is a token recipe from Outward Bound that provides sustained energy and tastes amazing.

Melt:

  • 285 g butter
  • 6 tbsp golden syrup
Add:
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 4 tsp boiling water
Mix with:
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup sultanas
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup roasted sunflower seeds
  • 2 cups coconut
  • 1 cup raw sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped apricots
Bake: 160º for 30 minutes
