Chocolate Oats (Sugar Free)

Chocolate Oat 2

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup oats
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 small granny smith apple (grated)
  • 1 tbsp raw cacao

Topping

  • Plain unsweetened yoghurt
  • Raw Pecans
  • Coconut (shredded or desiccated)

Instructions

  1. Place oats, almond milk, grated apple and raw cacao into a small pot and stir well
  2. Place pot over a medium heat and bring to the boil
  3. Reduce to a simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes
  4. Once all milk has absorbed, transfer into you breakfast bowl and top with unsweetened yoghurt, pecans and coconut

Note:

  • This recipe is for one serving. To serve for two double the ingredients, to serve three then triple the ingredients and so on.
  • This recipe can be made in bulk (5-6 servings) then cooled and transferred into Tupperware containers or mason jars with a fastened lid. When ready to eat for breakfast, remove lid and place in microwave to warm for 40-60 seconds
  • The apple sweetens this recipe enough in my opinion, however if you prefer a little sweeter, add honey on top prior to serving
