Snack Time: Super Smoothies

Super Smoothies

Jamie Oliver has whipped up four fantastic smoothies. As I am on the theme of breakfast and quick meals at the moment, I believe it is fitting to share these four recipes.

 

1. Orange

2cm peeled ginger – finely grated

1 carrot – trimmed and roughly chopped

Juice of 1 lime

1 small frozen mango – chopped

200mL fresh orange juice

Combine all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth

2. Purple

2 pears – stalks removed and roughly chopped

150g frozen blueberries

100mL fresh apple juice

Combine all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth

3. Green

1 large banana – peeled (ideally pre-chopped and frozen)

200g baby spinach

250mL fresh apple juice

Juice of 1 lime

Combine all ingredients and blend until smooth

4. White

1 large banana – peeled (ideally pre-chopped and frozen)

3 tbsp ground almonds

250mL skim milk

1 tbsp runny honey

Combine all ingredients and blend until smooth
